We read today It Is Fall. We reviewed the letters of the week "B" and "R".
I introduced the game Operation to the kids, which everyone enjoyed.
Creative Movements was our speciality class today.
In science I used the science kit from the library, reading You Can't Smell a Flower With Your Ears, and My Cat Tuna. We watched a film from Amazing Senses about Animals and how their senses are very specialized.
Sedona helped her mom make delicious cupcakes, which we all enjoyed. Sedona will be six on Sunday! We all wished Sedona a Happy Birthday.
Two new laptop computers were added to our class today, which we will start using in the classroom. I presented, and navigated them through Starfall. You may be familiar with this site, but if not, check it out - WWW.Starfall.Com It is a great site for early readers, and contains alphabetic practice, phonics, reading and other educational activities that are fun for the kids.
Everyone have a great weekend, and cheer for the Yankees tonight!
