I am happy to report that through shear determination, and a little sweat we have transformed what you saw Thursday evening into a classroom.  Our goal was to finish and have Labor Day off and we did it.  I hope your Labor Day weekend was wonderful.  Certainly the weather cooperated with us.  There are a few finishing touches I have to do but I am sure your children will find it an inviting and warm place to be during their school days.  Make sure they get plenty of sleep.  While tomorrow will be more about exploring our room and getting to know each other the days that follow will increasing be more structured and aligned with the curriculum. 


I am looking forward to tomorrow with great excitement and enthusiasm.  I am committed to teaching your children the academic and social skills that will make them successful lifetime learners. I encourage you to be a part of the journey your child is undertaking.  One of the most important things you as a parent, guardian or caregiver can do is to read with your children.  Reading is the doorway to knowledge.  Successful readers are successful learners.
