Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

At morning group we had some sharing by Laina with Rainbow, her unicorn.  Our beetle was very active and will find his way back to Han's house to be free again.  Today the children read the classroom book Farm Animals.  Letter "P" was introduced to go along with the letter "D".

In writing we wrote about best friends.  For science this week we had a lesson on the five senses.  We talked, discussed, watched a video that was about another kindergarten class who reported from a grocery store about the five senses.  See if your child remembers the the senses - sight, hearing, smell, taste, and feel.

We concluded the 1st math unit, and did the end of unit test.  Everyone was nearly perfect.  I sent home the test and a reteaching worksheet should they want to impress you with their math skills.

We finished our day with Spanish, and earned a special recess at the end of day.
