Welcome back.
Weekly jobs changed today.  Ask your child what job they have this week.

Weston bought in Listening Dragon and had some great stories about his week with Dragon.  Today Listening Dragon went home with Alex for the week.  We read The Coast today.  Feel free to read it with them at home.

Today we started our Take Home Reader program with four students this week, as we only have four of each book.  I will send out books to the others when the first group of students return their books.  For this program I will send home reading books to be read at home and returned after your child has successfully read it to you a few times.  Then I will send back the next book when it is returned to me.    So if you don't see a book packet in your child's backpack then they will be in the second group.  The first books went home with Weston, Sedona, Alex, and Mia.

Handwriting for this week is letters "D" and "P".  Both capitals.  For phonics it's letters F, D, and P.  We journaled about our favorite day of the week and what we did last week.

There was Music today with Miss Amy.

Math was lesson 1-6.
 
We had some fun with crafts today.  Beads!  Many made necklaces/bracelets for themselves or moms.
We have started our community collage with the children drawing pictures of places that people live and buildings you would expect to find in a community.
