Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Today the children had their first Spanish class with Miss Deborah.  We read our second reading book,  Big, and journaled about our favorite things in kindergarten over the first week.  Sedona enjoys writing, and recess. Bentley likes choice time. Hans loves to do math.  Alex enjoys science, social studies and animal crackers. Weston is big on handwriting, using the chalk, sponges, and play dough tools we use to form letters with Handwriting Without Tears.  Laina couldn't decide on a favorite.  Caiden loves reading, and snack time.  The boys, Caiden, Weston, Alex and Hans always come back for seconds, and thirds. Mia just loves being here.  It was unanimous that we all love Puff.

We finished, A Friend For Dragon in our read aloud and I expect his adventures will continue to be popular with the kids.  For science we watched Sid the Science Kid answer the question, "do animals talk?"  While we learned that animals do not talk like we talk, they do communicate in different ways to each other.  You can catch Sid on PBS Kids.

Hola!. Our Miss Deborah had the kids today for Spanish.  I will especially be interested in seeing how they do over the year.  My last experience with Spanish was way back high school.  Yikes!
