Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Hans brought us a creature from the farm today.  Like one of the biggest beetles I have seen around these parts!  We thought about feeding him to Puff but the vote was to give Mr. Beetle a reprieve.  Hans says he might start collecting grasshoppers for Puff.

Take home Reader books continue to go out.  Please return the book when your child has successfully finished their book so they can get the next one out.  We are adding words to our word wall.

The children filled in their first calendar, having to count and write up to 31 days.  We continued with the letter D in handwriting.  For phonics today I read "H" words and the children raised their hands when they heard the "Haa" sound.  They did quite well and it was fun.

We had PE today.

Math Lesson 1-7 which is the last lesson in this unit.

For our community social studies project we added to our mosaic the most important part of a community - People!

Finally we thought Puff would like having some wallpaper in his habitat.  Looking at a drab tan wall was, well, boring.  So everyone drew pictures of whatever they thought Puff might like.  Laina, Mia and Sedona enjoyed drawing flowers for Puff.  The Hans, Weston, Caiden, Bentley, Alex were not so much into decorations for Puff's home.
