Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Today we started our reading program - Reading A to Z.  The children each got their own book and everyone read.  The copies they get tomorrow, and in the future, will be in true booklet form.

Mia, our Star of the Week, brought in her Star poster and told us all about her family and favorite things.

In handwriting we took out chalkboards, sponges, and chalk and practiced capital letter "E", and again worked on phonics.  Kiddo's are really getting into the Boogie Woogie Alphabet song as we practice   letters.

We did Envision Math 01-03.

Writing the numbers 1-3 and review of prior learning.   started PE today with Mr. Ken.  We were happy to see everyone in proper footwear.

We also started Social Studies today.  We will be studying over the next few weeks Families in Their Neighborhoods.  First up will be to create a community.  The children drew places where people live.

Reminder for those parents who take their children in to the class to please remind their children to take out their red take-home folder and place it in the box right inside the door.  Also please make sure you look at the folder when home and take out their work.  Anything you have for me or Hillside can come back in, in the same folder.
