Today we read Jump Over. I have to say that the children are really doing well with the early readers in class, and the take home readers are being read at a good pace.
An observation at snack time is how everyone shares their from home snacks. Mia has been sharing fruit strips since the beginning of school, and I saw Bentley sharing today. Alex brought in some delicious home baked chocolate chip cookies he made at home to share with the class.
We did our final review of letters "B" & "R" from last week and this week we will work on "N" & "M". Our writing choice theme was favorite animals.
Miss Amy had the group for music.
I conducted an assessment on students' math skills based on last weeks lessons. I had some initial concern over the students understanding the concept of fewer, more, and the same, but most did very well. So practice at home with them.
Listening Dragon came back from Laina and once again the dragon had a wonderful time playing, reading, and being apart of another kindergarten family.
Our class will visit the Duvall library tomorrow, and will make a trip over to the firehouse on Thursday.
Reminder - there is NO SCHOOL on Friday for the kids. It is a teacher planning day.
