Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

We read Summer this morning, and the letter "W" was our letter today.  We are moving faster through the capitals and consonants so we can begin vowels and letter blends soon.  Reading at home program seems to be going well.  Bat dot to dot today and then what I planned for  45 minute activity (full body drawing) took a longer time.  But we finished!
We had another Halloween read, and ended up with a little time at the end of the day.  We watched a Scooby Doo Halloween movie.

We had PE but did not have time for Math but will catch up tomorrow.

The body outline activity is  part of our science unit.  We will do some comparisons of each other, and soon will be measuring every one's height.  Hopefully we will see some changes though out the year.

Today I also added my iPad to the learning environment with some phonics apps that may help some of the students.  It's a great resource for combining learning and fun.  On the other side of the technology coin I let one lucky student play Angry Birds Halloween for choice time.
