Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Last day of school before the holiday break.  Today we read He Runs.  In handwriting we did the numbers "5" and "6".  Today I started a sentence writing activity in a new notebook.  I will dictate a sentence to them and the kids will then write, in their kindergarten best, the sentence.  This will give me a sense of their phonetic skills in writing words and putting words into a sentence.  Capitals and periods have been introduced.  This will build on their writing and give them more confidence in expressing themselves.

Today was:
I like cats.
I like dogs.
I like candy.
In math we did lesson 4-4.

Our applesauce turned out perfectly and was served at our feast today.
Our feast was wonderful.  The kids dressed up as pilgrims, and with our big buddies dressed as Native Americans, it was perfect for our school gathering.

I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, and take time to give thanks for what you have.  See you all back to school next Monday.
