Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Well it's official.  We are now the Hillside Grizzlies.  The Dragons tried hard but alas, the 4-5 graders out shouted us,  Bigger kids = Bigger voices.  Although I would bet Sedona could out scream anyone.  No sour grapes here though.  I have not the heart to tell Puff.  I will wait until Monday, or after Thanksgiving, so not to spoil his holiday.

In reading we read Getting Dressed.  Our last capital letter was "J" as we move on to lowercase letters.  But 1st, I think I am going to do numbers, as too many of those fellas are walking backwards so we need to get them on the straight and narrow.  Kids had movement and dance today.  Practicing for our big Christmas event.  In math we did Envision lesson 4-1.

I doubled up on the math with a trip to the computer lab and got everyone up and running on IXL.  Please encourage your child to practice there.  I sent an email detailing it.  They should know how to use the program.  See there achievements.  Use the sound to read the questions if they can't.  Have them practice signing on and off.  That will speed up getting them all signed on in the lab here, not having to wait for me to do it.

Our Giving Assembly was held today and we learned about how much need there is in the Philippines to provide, what we can to help with both medical and quality of life needs.  The zip lock bags we sent home are for the children to collect change or whatever they/you can do to contribute to this great cause.  There is a large jug in the school where they can dump their contributions into.  A little can go so far!
