The traps are set ...

Tis the time of the year when mischief is-a-plenty with those leprechauns sneaking about.  In preparations we created our traps to catch those rascals.  The bait is set!  Leprechauns can't resist I do tell, gold and treats.  We will see if this class can catch one or two.

For reading we read Winter Fun.  We have but two more books and we will be finished with our level "B" books and moving right into Level "C".  It will be an awesome achievement if we can finish level "C".  We will see.  So far everyone is holding their own.  Encouragement to continue, and stepping up the take home reading books will really help.  Really, really!

Letter "K,k", was up for today.  Read the Room, and some even managed to journal.  I like.  For phonics we did beginning and ending sounds.  In story time we started reading about the legend of the leprechaun,  and how one family set out to trap one once and for all.

In math we did lesson 8-7 in Envision Math as we will shortly bring to a close this unit covering subtraction word sentences.  We had Spanish with Miss Debbie.

We ended our day deep in glitter, shamrocks, pipe cleaners, and trap construction.  It would seem that trap doors were the method most often chosen to trap the little people.
We will see how their efforts play out over the week.
