Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Today was the start of Dr. Seuss week at Hillside Academy.  As many of you know The Lorax is out in the movie houses and a couple of our kids gave it great reviews.  I read The Lorax today in group , and the class read What Has These Spots?.  During snack time we watched a Cat in the Hat video, and in our magazine Let's Find Out, it was you guessed it,  it was all about Dr. Seuss.

For handwriting today it was letters, "H, h".  The kids wrote the room.  In math we did did some review work, and did lesson 8.5.  Miss Debbie had them for Spanish today.

We watched a video about Dale Chihuly and the amazing creations he makes out of glass.  He is also a local resident of the Seattle area.  Using empty plastic beverage containers the children got to work on their own colorful creations which we blend together to form our own representations of Chihuly's art.


Reminder that we have library tomorrow, so if you have library books out please bring them in tomorrow and I will return them for you.
