We read You Can Go in reading group. Handwriting was "M,m". Our Let's Find Out magazine from scholastic was all about St. Patrick's Day. Ask them about the Blarney Stone. We finished our movable leprechauns and our on our classroom B Board.
We celebrated Rylie for two hours of hard work on IXL Math. For math we did our end of unit assessment. Please review your student's report. One is a pre-test called reteaching, and the other is their test. You will see where you child may be having difficulties. Listening skills are very important as most of the question are orally given. While a child may be adept at doing 4-2=2. Some have difficulty in converting an oral question such as - "there were four birds, and two flew away, how many birds were left on the branch?" Even more of a problem can be their understanding of different. "If I have five baseball bats and 3 balls? How many more bats do I have then balls?" Again IXL can help. I encourage and make some use manipulatives to visually see the problem.
Tomorrow is our field trip. Remember the car seats and boosters, and a lunch if you have not told me you want the school to provide one.
Please have your child wear some green on Friday.
