Today we read Fall. In handwriting it was letters "P,p". Kids journaled, their choice. We did beginning and ending sounds. Today was one of those days when tattling just went over the top. So, I took out Kelso, courtesy of my wife's college education project last year. We talked in class about big problems and small problems, and how we can solve our own small problems. They have a take home chart of how Kelso tries and solves his own problems.
In case that does not completely solve the issue I put up a tattle jar. You have a tattle - Write about it. Amazing how for most this exercise in itself minimizes tattles.
In math we did lesson 9-4.
Celebrations in order for Laina completing 200 questions, and Rylie finishing 500 questions. Awesome accomplishments!
I was also encouraged to see almost everyone dive into the math challenge box to complete this self-paced activity this afternoon instead of end of day free choice.
