Let the Uglyness Begin

We started sewing and decorating our Uglydolls today.  Miss Julie helped with this craft and I have to say that there are some sewers here!  A couple have finished already, and the rest are in various stages of finishing.  We are at various stages - some sewing, some decorating to give personality to these unique creations, some in the final stage of stuffing and sewing up their dolls.

Reminder that we have library tomorrow.  So please bring your books in if you have not returned them yourselves.

We read I Read A Book today, and everyone amazed me with their reading of this level 2 book.

Listening Dragon came back with Rylie today with some great adventures with her grandpa (PaPa), and family.  Hans has the Listening Dragon next, although it's still hanging on his hook.  Oops.

Lowercase "q" was the letter of the day.  Finding "Q" words stopped many in their tracks of reaching the 10 and 20 word level.  We will be finishing lowercase this week, and will then start a new workbook that will keep their writing skills going for the next month or so.  We worded in our phonics workbook with beginning and ending sounds.

Kids had Spanish today, and I skipped math for the day, as they were totally engaged in their ugliness craft.  "Ugly," as Sedona says it, "can be cute!"
