Today we read Near and Far Away.  For handwriting we practiced punctuation in preparation for more formal sentence building.
It was a short monkey craft for Valentine's Day.  We had the Big Room so I used it for one more practice of our performance tomorrow.

Reminder for those that can make it, we are the host classroom for chapel tomorrow at 2:45.
It is pajama day and as our skit is monkey's jumping on the bed when they should be asleep, the kids need to be in PJ's.  It is also Crazy Hair Day, so do something crazy.

In Math we did lesson 7.1 in.  We finished our day by starting construction on our floats.  Hopefully we will have some time to work on them tomorrow and the kids can bring home some crafty stuff if they wish to continue over the weekend.  Cut out pictures from magazine, draw, or color. Be festive!   I would like the floats to be finished by next Thursday.  The float should have a heritage based theme to represent our diversity.
