Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Well it's the last week of school before our Christmas break.  This week we will visit the Duvall library tomorrow, have a PJ party on Thursday, and finish our week Friday with a decorating party with our Big Buddies.  Today we read My Hair.  In handwriting it was lower case "t".  Our first word where the lowercase is not simply a smaller uppercase letter.  Their writing prompt was special places.  I did dictation in their black composition book once again.  I take some sentences from our early morning reading and see how they do at writing the sentences phonically.  Read a couple Christmas themed books as I will all week.  I swapped out most of our current library with new books.

We had music today.  As I picked them up after I could heard the dramatic finale of the 1812 Overture.  

For math we concluded the unit with lesson 4-10.  Tomorrow I will do an assessment on the unit.  I will do a quick reteaching, and then the unit test.  I will also send home another enrichment packet for you to do at home should you wish with your child.

We finished our day down in the computer lab with the kids working on their individual Explode the Code sign-ons.
