Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

We have 60 days down - Six, Tens.  Today we read Maria Goes to School.  In handwriting we did lower case "o".  For writing we did favorite things.  In phonics I did an end of consonants assessment, and sent them home.  Everyone did really well, we now embark to vowels and word blends.  Kids had music and practiced for play.  We will have a full dress rehearsal this Wednesday.  I sent home a note about the "costume" our kids should wear.   You only need to dress your child in something dark.  Black if you can.

In science we continued our body theme and talked about our hands.  What can they be used for?  As you may recall I took hand prints last week of the kids.  After using them as part of our hand discussion, used the prints for our reindeer craft project.  The hands are now antlers!

I decorated the classroom this weekend for the kids as we approach the Christmas season.
