Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Today we started our Memory Book for year end.  This will be a collection our our experiences and thoughts over the year.  It will be a part of our writing lesson to get this finished.  Is it four weeks from today that school will end?
Today we read Clouds.  While they amazed me yesterday, they struggled a bit or all this nice weather has them thinking of the outdoors.  Or maybe its just the equipment outside our window digging a trench?  I will remind you, speaking of memories, that all the pictures I have taken over the year or on my Flickr page.  It you go through the photo stream on this web page to the right you have access to them should you wish to download them.
We read our weekly Let's Find Out magazine today.  The subject was ocean creatures.  In science we did another round of It It Alive?    In math we did lesson 14-2, and did a round of I Have, Who Has? for shapes and colors.  While the rhombus, and the trapezoid, is not a part of kindergarten curriculum, I introduced it to them, along with rectangles and squares, with more to come in this unit.
