Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Today was another day of testing to round out reading.  The test again was about 30 minutes long.  Tomorrow and the next day will be math and that will be it.  The tests this year will help us adjust our curriculum where necessary to better serve the Common Core National Standards.  Next year the tests will be given three times a year to assess as we go along and focus in on weak points in student development.
In reading we read Getting Around the City.  We again worked on our kindergarten memory books. In phonics we did our Explode the Code workbooks.
Kids had PE today with Mr. Ken. In math it was lesson 14-6.
We also put some finishing touches on our rainforest.
