Today our reading book was Spring Weather. For handwriting the letter was lowercase "u". Today I started an exercise for the children when they finish their handwriting, read and write the room. They take the letter of the day and search our room for words that begin with that letter. If they come up with ten (the class agreed upon that number), they get a mando mula dollar.
In phonics we started our second workbook with Explode the Code. I hope to get back into the computer lab to continue as a class on explode the Code. A reminder - if you have not done so, please get headphones for your child.
The kids had PE today. We did lesson 5.1 in Envision Math. For social studies we began our new unit The Parade - Celebrating Cultural Diversity.
