Today we read our last Level A book, What Lives Here, in class, and will begin Level B books tomorrow. The children have come a long way in their reading from the AA books we began with in September. Continue to read at home, and also with the take home reading program. Listening Dragon went home with Sedona today for the week. We are fast approaching the half way point in the school year. Reminder that tomorrow is our Duvall library visit. So if you have books to return please bring them in and we will return.
I have put up a sign up sheet for the parent/teacher conferences up on the sign in table near the front office desk.
Today we reviewed all of our capital letters as a reminding exercise, and completed our January calendar.
We marched down to the computer lab to do Explode the Code but were met with some technical difficulties. We will try again tomorrow. Please remember to provide a headset for your child. To date only two children have them. A cheap drug store model will certainly do.
The children had music today with Miss Amy.
We finished our last lesson for this unit in Envision Math, 5.5. Tomorrow we will have a review and the end of unit assessment.
We celebrated another great IXL math achievement with Caiden finishing 2,500 questions!! And no I did not write that incorrectly. Way to go Caiden!
