Welcome back to school after a surprising week off!  Everyone seems to have survived well.

We did a short celebration for Chinese New Years.  In keeping with tradition, we opened all the windows and the door to let the old year out, and then closed everything to begin the new year fresh.  It is the year of the dragon.  Another sign, in my opinion, that a DRAGON should be the school mascot.  Good omen I do believe.

Today we read Bananas Sometimes.  In handwriting it was lowercase "p".  Children wrote the room again with some having time to journal.  Working in our phonic sound book we did "J" sounds.
Music was today but instead Miss Amy added Spanish to get back on track.  In math we did lesson 6.1.  We ended our day with good old fashioned choice of games or play.  No technology.
