Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

Today we read I Looked Everywhere.  Please practice with your kids writing their whole name.  We will start doing this in class.  In handwriting it was the letter "V,v".  We finished our one phonics workbook today of beginning and ending sounds.  Most journaled today about spring.  We also started our "chick" book, which will follow the incubation period of our new chicken eggs. In math it was lesson 10-2.  In social studies we discussed the movie on the rainforest we watched the other day.  The recall they had in remembering key parts of the film was very impressive.  We started construction of our classroom rainforest with the introduction of vegetation to the canopy of our rainforest.  We will gradually add more elements to the rainforest as we move through this unit.
