Mr. M's Mighty Kindergarten M&M's

As we enter our last full week we read My Neighborhood.  We played a few rounds of I Have, Who Has, with color and number words.  We tried to beat the best time for a treat.  After 6 rounds we finally did.  In writing we wrote a letter with advice for the incoming kindergarten class of 2012-2013.  I will give a copy of this letter to the next year's kinders on welcoming day.
In math we did our end of Unit 15 assessment, and started Unit 16.
A reminder that tomorrow is our last visit to the Duvall Library.  Please bring in books tomorrow if you want me to return them.
On Wednesday we will have field day in the afternoon.  Insure your child is prepared for whatever weather is in store for us, and that they wear sneakers.
This Friday at 2:30 we will celebrate the summer birthday people - Hans, Alex, Bentley, Rylie, Laina, and Mia.

Here's the advice the kids came up with:

• No doing bad  stuff
• No playing when not suppose to
• Always do your best work
• Be a good listener
• Be a good friend
• Help others
• Don't get your name on the board or flip a card
• Save your money to get your name off the board
• Don't lose class stars
• Share
• Do your own work
• Be nice
• Don't drop Bubba or Puff
• Don't shout out
• No snakes behind the TV
• Quiet hands, body and feet
